As the correct construction of an animal is a key factor in the herd- foot trimming has become a 'rare occurrence'.

The Maids

The Dowager family was the foundation family here at Anhay. Eaton Dowager 39th (top priced maiden heifer at the Eaton sale) began a long line of easy fleshing, good milking cattle. 

Anhay Plum 107 - probably one of the 'easiest fleshing' cows at Anhay and admired by many.

The Beauty family originated at Hampton Court bred by the Arkwright's and winners of many eminent prizes over the years.

The Blossoms Such a famous family from the prestigious Badlingham herd. Both the Badlingham Blossom 7th and 8th lines are present in our Blossom pedigrees having started with a maternal sister to Badlingham Broad Lad from the 7th line and then purchasing the highest priced maiden heifer from the Badlingham dispersal sale from the 8th line.

The 'M' Family go back to Irish breeding and have produced some of our best breeding females and several bulls from this family have been used within the herd. Anhay Miranda 275 has produced some of the 'best' bulls at Anhay. 

The 'W' Family Descendants of the 'W' family from the notable Tarrington herd and doing very well at Anhay. 

The Models came to the fore at Sherlowe and have an illustrious background producing some beautiful females. They have excellent udders.
